The Law Admissions committee considers requests for deferral on a case-by-case basis.
Admitted students who wish to defer their enrollment should submit a written request to the Law Admissions office outlining the reasons for the request.
Should the committee grant the request, a seat will be reserved for the student in the entering class for the following academic year, provided the student:
- Pays the non-refundable $150 seat deposit by April 1, or other agreed upon time, of this year;
- Contacts the Admissions office by January 15 of the following year to confirm intent to enroll that fall;
- Confirms that nothing has taken place in the interim year related to character and fitness that would disqualify the student from entering the practice of law; and
- Pays the $250 commitment deposit by June 15 of the following year.
