The University of Toledo College of Law makes full use of the newest technology for teaching and research.

  • Wireless Access. You can access the Web wirelessly on your laptop computer in every classroom,

Each classroom is equipped with a Smart Board, allowing the teacher to seamlessly bring the Web, DVDs, Power Point presentations and other multimedia into classroom discussions.
everywhere in the law library, and everywhere else in the law school building and surrounding grounds
  • Smart Boards. Each classroom is equipped with a Smart Board, allowing the teacher to seamlessly bring the Web, DVDs, Power Point presentations and other multimedia into classroom discussions.
  • PCs. Plenty of computers are available in the law school and all around campus for your word processing, e-mail and web-surfing needs.
  • Listservs. Each class has a listserv to allow teachers and students to interact online.
  • Online Research. You get free access to LEXIS and Westlaw to allow you to do online legal research from home or from school. And you. will receive extensive instruction on how to use these legal data bases.
State-of-the-Art Moot Courtroom
College of Law Students have the opportunity to practice their skills in a state-of-the-art moot courtroom. The spacious facility, known as the Frank and Barbara Cubbon Courtroom, combines the latest in audio-visual technology with a full-size courtroom. Wall-mounted video cameras, instantaneous projection and prompt playback enable faculty and students to critique performances.
  • Cyberlaw Courses. We offer a wide variety of courses in cyberlaw topics to prepare you to practice law in the new world of technology. Some of these are offered as "Flex courses" so you can take them in concentrated time frames if you prefer instead of taking a semester-long course.
  • Technology and the Law. We integrate cyberlaw issues into many of our traditional courses so that you will understand the impact of technology on all aspects of the law.
  • Faculty Resarch. Faculty are engaged in research on cutting edge issues of cyberspace. They have authored nationally acclaimed books and articles on these issues.
  • Cybersecurities Law Institute. The University of Toledo's Cybersecurities Law Institute is a nationally recognized resource for the media and for others interested in the impact of Internet technology on the stock market.
  • E-texts. You can obtain online access to the full text of books and journals in law-related areas through your free access to Ohio Link.

And here is what we DON'T do:

  • We do not use technology as a replacement for personal interaction between faculty and students in class and outside of class.
