Keeping in Touch

College of Law graduates practice across the United States as well as internationally. They practice in large and small firms, in public service, as members of the judiciary, as state attorneys general, and in various federal, state and other public service agencies. Others go on to use their law degree in a variety of ways including business, education and social service. We enjoy hearing about your successes. You are the best examples for current students and we encourage you to stay in touch.

The College of Law Annual Magazine, The Toledo Transcript, goes out to alumni in early fall and offers a snapshot of the past year's events. It contains feature stories on alumni accomplishments and student achievements, faculty activities, class notes, and, most importantly, serves as a way for our alumni to remain in contact with us and each other.

Events

Each year, the College of Law sponsors a homecoming picnic, annual reunions and receptions in cities throughout the U.S. Keep our Alumni Events page bookmarked to see when we might be coming to a city near you. We hope that you will volunteer to help us coordinate and plan alumni activities in your region.

The College of Law also brings thought to the surrounding community through its Speakers Series. Past speakers have included U.S. Supreme Court Justices, Pulitzer Prize winning authors, U.S. Congressmen and women, and well-known legal scholars and practitioners who have argued high profile cases. Our schedule of Speakers & Events is frequently updated to keep alumni informed of upcoming public lectures. Annual conferences, such as the annual Great Lakes Water Symposium, often feature a CLE component.

Alumni Association

Graduates of the University of Toledo College of Law automatically become members of our alumni community. Law Graduates may also choose to become active members of the Law Alumni Affiliate group, a branch of The University of Toledo’s Alumni Association. Law Affiliate membership dues help support alumni-related programming. For more information or to register, please visit this website: http://www.toledoalumni.org/membership.html.

The Law Alumni Affiliate Board of Governors meets four times a year with the Dean and the Director of  Alumni Affairs. The Board is comprised of alumni representing the College of Law Community.
