Students should apply directly to the seven individual Justices. Application materials should include a cover letter , resume , two letters of recommendation , an unofficial law school transcript , and a writing sample. The deadline for applications is early spring of the second year , and the clerkship runs for one year , beginning in the summer following the third year.
