Maricopa County (Phoenix, AZ) Attorney’s Office conducting on-campus interviews:

 

The Maricopa County (Phoenix, AZ) Attorney’s Office will be conducting on-campus interviews at The University of Toledo College of Law on Friday, October 12th.

 

If you are a 2L interested in a summer internship or a 3L looking to work for the country’s 4th largest prosecutor’s office, please submit a resume and cover letter (addressed to Mr. Jeff Duvendack) to lcs@utoledo.edu by Friday, October 5th at 3:00 p.m.

Note: To participate in an on-campus interview, you will need to fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Have a sample resume and cover letter reviewed by Law Career Services.
  2. Submit Application materials along with an On-Campus Interview Cover Sheet to the Law Career Services Office by Friday, October 5th.
  3. Participate in a mock interview with Law Career Services prior to any scheduled on campus interview.

TODAY-Meetings for 2L’s to discuss Bar Applications Outside of OH:

On Tuesday, October 2nd from 12:00 to 12:30 and 5:15 to 5:45 in Room 1013, Dean Steinbock and Law Career Services will cover application pointers for Michigan/Other States bar exams. 

Pizza will be provided, first come, first served.

Please make plans to attend if you will be taking the MI or other bar exam outside of Ohio.

OH Bar Exam Fingerprinting: October 16th, 2007

Campus Police will be at the law school to do OH Bar Exam finger-printing on Tuesday, October 16th from 11:30 – 1:00 and 5:00 – 6:00 in the SLK Lounge.  The fee for this service is $10.00 payable in cash or by check. 

If you are taking a bar exam outside of OH, please check with your state’s Office of Bar Admissions to determine the state’s finger-printing requirements (if any). Law Career Services can provide you with contact information for other states and you can also conduct web searches for this information.

The UT Law Administrator Forum scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th from 5:15 to 6:00 has been postponed.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and hope to re-schedule this semester.

Scholarship Opportunity: Intellectual Property Owners Foundation:

The Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation is sponsoring a corporate intern scholarship.  The IPO Foundation awards two $10,000 scholarships to outstanding law students who have completed an internship in a corporate intellectual property law department, and intend to pursue a career in the field of intellectual property law.  Deadline: October 12th, 2007
