Your username will be your first initial followed by your first six letters in your last name. In some cases a number will follow in case of multiple users with the same names. Make sure that you remember your username and password as it will be your username and password for access to the computer lab,  your e-mail account, and the Law College wireless network.

Email Access

All students are required to have a university email account. All your university email will be sent to your university account.

You can access your university provided email account from any location via the web at https://email.utoledo.edu/exchangeYou will be prompted for the username and password of the account that you activated.

You should remember that your email account does not have unlimited space so you should delete unwanted mail and save important mail at another location.

Student Laptop Recommendations

The college of law has no recommendations as to what type of laptop to purchase. The only recommendation is that you purchase a laptop capable of running the newest Mac or Windows software. All students have access to the UTLAW Wireless network however your laptops must be configured as described below and you will need your UTAD credentials for authentication.

.Wireless Configuration    XP     VISTA

If you have problems with your wireless configuration please see the student computer consultants in LC 2003 during posted hours.

Home Directories

A 50 MB network drive that is backed up daily is provided to all students but it is also best for students to have CD/RW's and USB drives in order to back up your important documents.  When you login to a college lab computer your H: drive will be mapped at login. When you are not using university owned equipment you can connect to your home directory at https://files.utoledo.edu/
